Massacre Of 83 Dolphins On The Coast Of Macapa Brazil

The owner of the fishing ship the Grace of God IV, Jonan Qeiroz De Figueiredo, was caught on camera causing dolphins horrific pain and treating the dolphins in a barbaric way. The camera caught the fisherman pulling out the eyes and teeth of dolphins whilst they were still alive.

It has become apparent, that the highly illegal capturing and massacreing of dolphins, stretches the entire Brazilian coast line, in an uncontrolable way. Also many other dolphins are captured, killed and sold for bait for shark fishing. When the shark is caught, it's fins are ripped off and then the shark is often thrown back into the sea alive to suffer a horrible death by being picked off bit by bit by preditors, or will slowly starve to death. The fins are used to make shark fin soup.

What a waste! What cruel evil people!

In Brazil, the belief is, that the eyes of the dolphins when carried in the pocket, "attracts money and women" and the teeth are made into necklaces.

Now you know why dolphins are killed in Brazil!

The Brazilian Government, advises, that dolphins are protected as well as whales, so why is the Brazilian Government doing nothing to stop the suffering and slaughtering of dolphins?

Al Gore Wins Nobel Peace Price

The 2007 Nobel Prize has been awarded to Al Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change for "their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change".

According to the official press release from the Norwegian Nobel Committee: "Al Gore has for a long time been one of the world's leading environmentalist politicians. He became aware at an early stage of the climate challenges the world is facing. His strong commitment, reflected in political activity, lectures, films and books, has strengthened the struggle against climate change. He is probably the single individual who has done most to create greater worldwide understanding of the measures that need to be adopted.

By awarding the Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 to Al Gore and the IPCC, the Norwegian Nobel Committee is seeking to contribute to a sharper focus on the processes and decisions that appear to be necessary to protect the world's future climate, thereby to reduce the threat to the security of mankind. Action is necessary now, before climate change moves beyond man's control."

Congratulation, Mr Vice President!

A Hooded Sea Returned To The Sea From The Orkney Isles

A Hooded Seal left the National Seal Rescue, Cornwall on Tuesday early a.m. the 9th October 2007. The Hooded Seal had been cared for by them. It was decided that the Hooded Seal was now strong enough to be returned to the sea. The Hooded Seal left the sanctuary and was driven by road to the Orkney Isles. The whole journey took 20 hours with the continual stopping to refresh the Hooded Seal.

The staff who wonderfully cared for the Hooded Seal went with the seal to make sure that the Hooded Seal was watered and made comfortable.

The Hooded Seal was successfully returned to the sea and everyone wished it well.

These are amazing people who do good work and are caring and dedicated people. Our hearts go out to them.

Hooded Seals Saved & Directed To Their Home Land

Two hooded seals lost their way and ended up in the Algarth, Portugal. They were believed to be from Greenland. The Portugese arranged for the seals to be flown to the RSPCA seal sanctuary in England. There, they were cared for until strong and well. After their convalescence the two hooded seals were taken by the RSPCA by road to St Mary's Isle, Whitley Bay, Northumberland.

The two hooded seals were then released gently into the sea, in the direction of their home Greenland. Everything went well and they took the right turn this time.

Many thanks for the wonderful work that everybody did.
