Scoophead Shark

The Scoophead Sphyrna media, is a hammerhead shark of the family Carcharhinidae, found in tropical waters of the western Atlanti Ocean. Its length is up to about 1.5 m.

The little known Scoophead is found in inshore areas over the continental shelves. It is viviparous.

Its flesh is utilitzed for human consumption and for fishmeal.
